Blue Light & Wrinkles

Reminder, schedule time away from your devices! We’ve covered this before, but according to preliminary findings, blue light can penetrate the skin deeper, damaging essential proteins, resulting in wrinkles and loss of firmness. In addition, even short-term exposure to blue light from your electronic devices can increase reactive oxygen species and cause oxidative stress to your skin. To lessen your exposure to blue light, take regular breaks from your screen or enable “night mode” on your computer, smartphones, and other devices.
