Body Exfoliation
How frequently should you exfoliate your body? According to skin experts, how often you can exfoliate depends on your skin type. Here's how you should be exfoliating your body according to your skin type: (1) Sensitive skin. Exfoliate every 8 to 9 days using products with nourishing ingredients like shea butter and coconut oil. (2) Dry skin. Exfoliate once a week with a gentle body scrub, and follow up immediately with a moisturizer to add moisture back into the skin. (3) Oily skin. Oily skin types can tolerate exfoliation more often than other skin types. Exfoliate 3-4 times a week via mechanical exfoliation using a scrub or a brush to remove built-up oil. (4) Normal skin. If you have normal skin, exfoliate up to 3 times a week through manual or chemical exfoliation.
