Endorphins are that “feel-good” chemical produced by the nervous system that helps us cope with stress or pain. Endorphins are also known for their role in boosting pleasure and overall well-being. If you don’t have enough endorphins in your body, you may experience increased anxiety, more mood swings, and problems with sleeping and depression. So what can you do to increase your endorphins? This list is deceptively simple but effective: (1) Exercise regularly. (2) Laugh. (3) Eat spicy food or dark chocolate. (4) Meditate. (5) Dance.
