Cellulitis
Cellulitis may sound like cellulite, but it’s nothing like the dimpling on your derriere. It’s a bacterial infection of the skin that affects the deeper layers of the dermis and the tissue underneath. Cellulitis occurs when bacteria penetrate the skin through an open wound or an area where the skin isn’t closed. Never try to treat cellulitis at home as it’s an internal skin infection that requires oral antibiotics. Always seek professional medical treatment as soon as possible if you think you may have cellulitis.
