Forest Bathing

By now, we're all pretty familiar with the benefits of walking and spending time in nature and its calming effects to our nervous system. But if you need a little more inspiration to get you outdoors and enjoying the sunshine, try shinrin-yoku, a Japanese term that is translated to "forest bathing." You don't need to go to Japan to try this out for yourself. All you need is a space with trees and a couple of minutes where you can enjoy the light that filters down through the branches, helping you unwind and giving you a quiet moment dedicated to the pure enjoyment of being alive and enjoying nature.
