Another at-home skincare device that has made the news: The pore vacuum. An electronic skincare gadget that comes with a nozzle to suck up excess oil, debris, and gunk from follicles, leaving the pores unclogged and clear. The instructions for using these machines are typically straightforward. These devices are a handy alternative for those times when you can't make it to a salon treatment or you have some stubborn blackheads that will not go away. But a word of caution: overuse of devices like these can pull and stress the skin, causing micro-tears to form. Avoid over-reliance on devices that have the potential to damage the skin when a well-formulated cleanser can do just as well.
