Although your skin is beautiful at any age, time and lifestyle habits can dim your glow. Keep your skin looking bright, smooth, and plump by avoiding these habits that can cause premature aging. (1) Rubbing your eyes. Pulling, rubbing, and tugging on the delicate skin around your eyes can cause inflammation in the area that can lead to bags and wrinkles. (2) Not getting enough sleep. Skimping on shut-eye can weaken the skin's ability to repair and rejuvenate itself, leading to problems like uneven skin tone, fine lines, and reduced elasticity in the skin. (3) Sipping out of a straw. Doing so can activate the muscles around your lips, making it more likely to develop creases in the skin that can evolve into wrinkles over time. (4) Constant stress. The stress hormone cortisol can break down collagen and cause sagging skin and wrinkles.
