Skincare brands and consumers are switching their focus from fast-acting, aggressive results and more on nurturing the skin's barrier in alignment with self-care. (2) A stripped-back routine. You can expect to see a move away from long skincare routines and towards a minimal approach. (3) Fermented skincare. The desire for ingredients that last longer is driving interest in fermented beauty for the skin. Not only do fermented skincare ingredients help prolong the shelf life of formulas, but they also help active ingredients absorb into the skin.
