Supplements & Acne?

Certain supplements, when not taken in moderation, can cause your acne to worsen. Taking an excess of B12 vitamins and biotin supplements has been anecdotally reported to cause a resulting acne flareup. While there are no studies yet to confirm this kind of connection, if you find yourself breaking out when you don’t usually, it’s a good idea to ask yourself what new intake could be causing it. Supplements can be beneficial in a wide variety of cases—but consult with a doctor if you suspect it could be triggering a skin-related reaction.
