What are ultrasonic cleansing spatulas? How do they work? Ultrasonic cleansing gadgets use high-frequency vibrations to exfoliate and draw out oil and debris from the pores. The flat scraper end of the device then scoops up the impurities, leaving the skin slightly raised and red—but the pores free and clear. Like many other at-home gadgets that aim to do what a visit to a beauty salon accomplishes, be careful not to overuse the device. Over-enthusiastic use can cause tiny tears in the skin.
