Your Skin & The UV Index
The UV index can give us additional information to help us protect our skin from the sun. Here’s how it works. The UV index is an international measure of UV exposure from the sun on any given day. It’s available globally and is similar to a weather report. A UV index of 1 represents expected low levels of UV radiation, while a value of 11+ represents very high expected UV exposure. You should be implementing routine sun protection on all days, but consider taking additional precautions when the UV index ratings are high.
